Video Information
Description :
Bas Rutten demonstrates how to do an inverted heel hook. I train BJJ and this is a real submission. It hurts immediately. No other leg lock creates the same kind of torque that a heelhook does. The hook immediately puts pressure on your knee and the more you twist the more painful it gets. Kneebars hurt as well, but not until they are fully extended and sometimes people don't even feel kneebars until their knee is about to be broken, "no pain, just snap" is a common expression used in relation to kneebars. Toeholds and straight ankle locks hurt as well, but the heelhook is by far the most dangerous. If you want to see this being used in a fight please look for Anderson Silva vs. Ryo Chonan and/or Masakazu Imanari vs. Jorge Gurgel. (Jorge ends up having to have extensive re-constructive surgery on his knee, this was the injury he was complaining about on The Ultimate Fighter reality series.) I hope you guys enjoy my vids! Nak
